چکیده
Satellite radar altimeters have been successfully used for sea surface height (SSH) measurement decades, gaining great insight in oceanography, meteorology, marine geology, etc. To further improve the observation precision and spatial resolution, evolved from real aperture to synthetic aperture, Ku-band Ka-band. Future (SAR) altimeter of Ka-band is expected achieve better performance than its predecessors. verify SAR data processing method explore system advantage Ka-band, a Ku/Ka dual-band airborne experiment was carried out over South China Sea on 6 November 2021. Through dedicated hardware design, this campaign has acquired Ku Ka echo simultaneously. The are processed estimate SSH retrieval after series procedures (including compensation, range migration correction, multi-look processing, waveform re-tracking). accustom model that fully considers both attitude variation aircraft elliptical footprint beam established. retrieved compared with public along flight path at day, showing good consistence bands. By calculating theoretical re-tracking re-processing into different bandwidths, it demonstrated ratio possible 1.4 within 27 km offshore area, which indicates performance.

We study feature selection and classification for a land-cover mapping task from airborne high resolution AeS-1 data in radar Xand P-Band. The studied feature selection methods are the well-established sequential addition of features to an initially empty feature set and genetic algorithm search, both based on statistical distance measures, and exhaustive evaluation based on actual classifier p...
متن کاملValidation and Variation of Upper Layer Thickness in South China Sea from Satellite Altimeter Data
Satellite altimeter data from 1993 to 2005 has been used to analyze the seasonal variation and the interannual variability of upper layer thickness (ULT) in the South China Sea (SCS). Base on in-situ measurements, the ULT is defined as the thickness from the sea surface to the depth of 16°C isotherm which is used to validate the result derived from satellite altimeter data. In comparison with a...
متن کاملPerformance of the L- and P-band Subsystems of the F-SAR Airborne SAR Instrument
The F-SAR airborne SAR instrument represents the successor of the E-SAR system of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), which has been extensively used in the last three decades. Its development was triggered by the current demand for data being simultaneously acquired at different wavelengths and polarisations, as well as by the demand for very high resolution in the order of decimetres. F-SAR is...

With the launch of the advanced high resolution radar satellite TerraSAR-X in summer 2006 new possibilities open to demonstrate traffic monitoring from space. At the German Aerospace Center an automatic and operational traffic processor is developed for the TerraSAR-X ground segment. This comprises the detection of moving objects in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images, their correct assignmen...
متن کاملEMISAR: A Dual-frequency, Polarimetric Airborne SAR
EMISAR is a fully polarimetric, dual frequency (Land Cband) SAR system designed for remote sensing applications. The data are usually processed to 2x2 m resolution. The system has the capability of C-band cross-track single-pass interferometry and fully polarimetric repeat-pass interferometry. The SAR is operated at high altitudes on a Gulfstream G-3 jet aircraft. The system is very well calibr...
